Leather Lingerie

January 16th, 2010 by Helen | No Comments | Filed in Lingerie

Leather lingerie is one of the most provocative lingerie that you would ever wear – it is not for the weak of heart or for the modest by nature. It is one that surpasses the expectations of any other type of lingerie – the words sexy, alluring, intimate or sensual all fail to capture its essence. Leather lingerie takes passion to a whole new level and by no means does it ever leave any doubt in the eyes of the beholder with regards to one’s expectations. If you are looking a lingerie to help drop some subtle hints, then leather lingerie is most definitely not what you would be looking for, for subtle is one thing that it is most definitely not.

Among the most provocative of all leather lingerie is the leather harness lingerie. Leaving very little to the imagination, this lingerie is one of the most defining lingerie around. The woman who wears the leather harness lingerie is one who is in complete control of herself. In addition, she is most definitely not waiting for the other partner to take the lead! Harness leather lingerie is the type of lingerie that speaks volumes of a woman’s sexual desires and her sexual needs. It is the type of lingerie that lends itself to the illusion of forbidden desires and untold fantasies.

The ‘bound’ leather lingerie is a slightly modified version of the leather harness lingerie that could only be described as ‘barely there’. The major difference between the bound lingerie to the harness lingerie is the amount of chains that make up the bound lingerie – it is about ninety percent chains than it is leather. In addition, the bound leather lingerie comes in two pieces as well, as opposed to the harness which is a whole body fit.

The garter is another favorite among all the leather lingerie lovers, and is commonly used in combination with any type of leather lingerie to add a greater sense of temptation and wicked desire to the already mischievous outfit.

Extreme leather lingerie is not the only type of leather lingerie that you could choose from however. Many lingerie stores in fact carry outwear leather pieces that have become trendy and popular clubbing attire for many young girls or adventurous women. Although still classed as leather lingerie (these pieces are still highly voluptuous when worn in the bedroom to tease and ‘make believe’), outwear lingerie are complete outfits that could be mini dresses, mini skirts, shorts or long pants.

In addition, the tops come in a variety of styles that range from tube tops to bra tops to halter tops to even strap tops. The underlying styles and fashions of the outwear leather lingerie are similar to any other type of outdoor clothes that we would wear to party events or clubbing events. The difference herein however lies in the fact that nothing says sexier than leather does.

Bras Design Team Dumped from TV

January 4th, 2010 by Helen | No Comments | Filed in Bras

A designing duo were dumped from a TV show hours before filming because the teenage underwear they had created was deemed risqué.

Sisters Maria and Sophie Law, who run Sweetling Lingerie from a studio in the Chocolate Factory 2 in Wood Green, accused producers of having a “backward attitude” after they were dropped from the Jo Malone Brand Show – a talent contest for budding entrepreneurs presented by the woman behind the luxury fragrance house.

They were told their bras, designed specifically as starter bras for young teenagers with no underwiring or padding, were suggestive for a pre-watershed airing on the BBC.

Maria Law, 47, of Umfreville Road, Harringay, said: “We have six daughters between us and we set up the business to make first bras for girls that are the complete opposite of being suggestive. “I am annoyed producers are trying to be politically correct and, in so doing, the subject is being ignored.”

The pair were asked to apply for the show after being spotted at the East London Design Show at Shoreditch Town Hall a few months back. From 120 fledgling designers, they made it through to the last 15 and were due to film a two-minute segment for the show in front of entrepreneur Jo Malone. But they were called by production team Two Four the night before and informally told they could not appear because of concerns about their product.

“We were told right at the last minute,” said Ms Law. “Surely they don’t have the right to pull something without debate with the designers. It is obvious they are unable to deal with a product that addresses a female subject.” Their designs include pattern and coloured training bras in sizes up to a 34B – the government legislation for young girls’ bras.

The show will see the 15 aspiring jewellers and designers whittled down to two, who will be given expert guidance on branding and public relations as well as pitching them to a major retailer.

A BBC spokeswoman said there were “a number of editorial reasons why we can and can’t include things in the programme”, insisting that it was not a comment on her product.
